There’s an update to Sunlit now available. Bug fixes and support for scrolling further back in the timeline.

Just downloaded this client for the first time. When trying to sign in, it won't move past the "enter your email address" step.

I just wanted to say that Sunlit on iPad is a joy! And Instagram still doesn’t have native iPad support. ;)

@eschaton Thank you! Yeah, especially as phone screens get bigger anyway, it just makes sense for most iOS apps to be universal. I'm surprised Instagram has never made time for it.

@bennomatic Does it give you the message that it sent an email? I signed out to test it and it seems okay... Let me know via help@micro.blog if it's not working.

It’s at the point it feels like a “strategy,” like “People on tablets and computers should use the web site!”
Speaking of… Is Sunlit for macOS in the cards someday? :)

@eschaton We've considered it (and I ever worked on it a little last year) but not enough time right now. I'd like to revisit it when UIKit for macOS is ready.

so I thought I sent a follow up but i apparently didn’t.
The screen that broke was the sign in form that appears when you click the sign in button that’s front and center in the view on initial launch. There is no feedback; just doesn’t move to the next step. However...

when I cancelled that, looked at some of the tabs, and then tapped the settings menu and clicked the sign in button there, an apparently-identical form appeared, but this time it worked.

I’ve just updated Sunlit on the iPad and I’m still getting the spinning wheel in the Timeline screen. I restarted the iPad and still have this issue. The Discover screen is showing usernames and greyed out squares - no images. Still have to try on the iPhone. Help!

@vatark Sorry to hear it. We've been trying to track this down. Can you do me a favor and see if it loads now when you try again, and if not, delete and re-install the app to see if that fixes it? Thanks!

Still get the spinning wheel on start up. I did do a fresh install with a reboot of the iPad earlier, and am repeating that now. I tried posting a picture from my camera roll and the app crashed. I've had it running on an iPad Pro with the same results, and that has just crashed too.
Still showing the spinning wheel on the iPad after deleting, powering off and on, and reinstalling. Trying to post a photo but nothing appears to be happening – app crashed.
