We really loved Mary Poppins Returns and Into the Spider-Verse. This Spider-Man is stunning — my favorite Marvel adaptation. And don’t miss the blog post about Mary Poppins from Floyd Norman, who worked on the original film 54 years ago.
Jonathan LaCour our family watched both over the holiday break and really enjoyed them as well. Spider-Verse was stunningly good! I’m not convinced that Mary Poppins Returns will becomes a classic like the original, but definitely agree that it was a worthy follow up.
Manton Reece @cleverdevil Yep, I don't think it needed to be a classic as long as it was faithful to the original and enjoyable. We also re-watched Saving Mr. Banks last week, which kind of completes the films as a trilogy.
kim e landwehr I haven’t seen the movie Mary Poppins Returns, but I enjoyed watching a video where they talked to Dick Van Dyke who commented to his make up artist. “You realize you are putting makeup on a 91 year old man to make him look like a 91 year old man” It is a movie I want to see, but not sure I will be able to see it in a theater.
