Speaking of Android, I’ve added a link to Dialog from the Micro.blog “New Post” page. Plus new app icons!

Manton Reece

@raretrack You can now! Check out the latest version.

kinda wish we had the option to hide all of that :). I get why you have it there but for us ‘veterans’ it’s distracting - and you don’t have my absolute favourite plugin TodayPoster :)

Simon Woods

@raretrack Indeed, Mike announced it here: micro.mike.fm/2019/01/1... ... the app is now out of beta, has an updated app-style website and all: dialogapp.net

Manton Reece

@kaa Good point. I link TodayPoster from the help page with a more complete listing of apps... Maybe needs a "hide this" button.

Simon Woods

Looks really nice!

@kaa I don't find it distracting at all; particularly as somebody outside of the Apple bubble it's nice to be reminded that Micro.blog itself recognises the wide world beyond the in-crowd culture prevalant amongst old-school Apple users. Also, listing each app will eventually become messy and I'd say listing Dialog and Quill is a lot more important than a Mac widget... besides, they're all listed in other places.

Khaled Abou Alfa

@simonwoods I disagree. Having the list underneath is superfluous for someone using the service for more than a month. You’ve tried them all by that stage, you know what works for you and what doesn’t. As for the widget that was my attempt at being funny (as in I’ll put up with the clutter if you at least show my favourite way of posting :) - so its not a serious suggestion. )

Khaled Abou Alfa

hide button would be great!

Simon Woods

@kaa I'm not sure that's true for everybody. Either way I like that Micro.blog continues to proudly display just how flexible it is, as oppossed to the silos; in fact, I enjoy the sight of such a variety of options and it makes me feel even better whilst I am using the editor.

Of course visual clutter is not a good thing but I think the list is more than that, that it is in fact much more than superfluous.

Khaled Abou Alfa

@simonwoods I can see your POV but it’s time limited. 1 year in it is superfluous to me.
