It’s really good. Extending the metaphor, Micro.blog would be a new settlement in the open world... with plenty of room for expansion.

I find it interesting that Twitter is not even mentioned as a “thing”. Only Facebook and Instagram.

@patrickrhone I noticed that too. My guess: either another video is coming, or (more likely) the WordPress community uses Twitter so heavily that they don't see it as the same kind of problem as Facebook.

@de Yes, I wondered if the areas beyond the suburbs had well-camouflaged sheds or storage facilities where they tuck away the messy themes, plug-ins, security patches, and the comments filtered out by spam catchers.

I worry they may not view it as competition when, in fact, it could be their biggest (threads instead of blog posts). Also, where Micro.blog fits most squarely between.
