Every day, write for 20 minutes. No more. 20 minutes. Carve it out after you've woken up and had your coffee. Honestly, you'll feel like this MASSIVE monkey off your back when it's done in 8 months.

Honestly it's not my advice, taken directly from Atomic Habits. I've been using this simple tweak (make the task very small that it feels easy), but make sure to show up to that task every day (you can miss one, but the very next day you have to turn up again) and make sure you stack it against another habit you already have (aka your morning coffee, walking the dog, etc).
