If it was starting to feel like Humane’s device would be overhyped or vaporware, I’m ready to put aside those concerns. It looks like they are onto something fascinating, both the projection and the AI language translation.

@vincent Somebody on Twitter seemed sure it will be out tomorrow. As far as I know TED have a good record of reliably publishing such things.

have not seen the video yet (my TED pass isn't working), but curious if all the functionality is being done on device or on the cloud.

Idk, it looks awfully small to not need a nearby/paired cell phone. To fit a modem, enough battery to make it useful, & SOC/storage?
The Trekkie in me wants it to be real, but the cynic in me wonders how it works w/o a belt-mounted unit doing everything but projection & audio.
