Mastodon has added support for showing styled text in the new version deployed on mastodon.social. Looks good with bold and italics in blog posts federated from Micro.blog.

Colin Devroe @kq Thanks. I gave this a try. Looks to be hit and miss with most users have no posts that appear in Ivory. I’m going to keep trying.
Manton Reece @cdevroe @kq The “no posts” is an issue if the user has never been loaded on your particular Mastodon instance yet. I think we can work around it but haven’t fully explored yet.
