@mandaris I found that it didn't work if you're using the app. I guess it thinks it's a link to a profile page: the "summer" user. It works if you open it in a browser (for me, at least).

@lmika @mandaris yeah, the link is broken in the apps because the way the apps handle usernames. I’ll have to hard code those, to skip to the website.

@vincent I’ve been thinking we need a better way of handling these paths. Maybe the user lookup should have a special response for non-users, then the app can pop open a browser.

The biggest problem is, is that it’ll navigate straight to the profile screen, without any network requests until the screen is open. It’ll load the profile data once there. We could, after a 404, open a browser window with the URL and at the same time navigate back in the app…

@vincent True. Maybe we just keep the hardcoded paths for now.

@lmika @mandaris @vincent I hope we can sort this so that our current users can see the page in the apps. Most people want to look over a page before sharing the link with anyone else. (Hacky alternative: view micro.blog/summer in a browser where you are not logged in or a private browsing window. Sorry. 😬)
