I’m testing Calckey to improve compatibility with Micro.blog. Some of the UI is quite busy and not for me, but I love how they are showing ActivityPub usernames, with the profile photo and dimmed domain name. Might borrow this.

I’m keeping an eye on Calckey. I’m finding Mastodon to be not fun.
Bluesy, OTOH, is fun.
That’s pretty nice! I actually like the addition of the avatars, too, since it helps me distinguish that I’ve gotten the right person.
@manton Welcome, I think you’ll enjoy it. Some love that name treatment, some don’t. We’re planning to configure several Calckey models based on default themes and prefs, where all that opt-in decoration can be user’s choice.
@vwbusguy Does Calckey have length limits on posts? Length limits drive me bonkers.
@MitchW Doesn't seem to. You can even post a "page" like a longform blog post, which is itself a regular post. If there is a limit, I haven't found it yet even with longer posts like this one:
@MitchW Or better yet - just create an account and try it out. You don't have to migrate. I have a separate Calckey account like I have a separate Pixelfed account. The fediverse is a big place.
@vwbusguy Good idea, though I’m suffering a bit of social media burnout at this point. I do Facebook, micro.blog, mastodon, bluesky, reddit, twitter, and tumblr already!
