Apple’s sending emails about getting apps ready for the Vision Pro App Store. Folks in the Apple dev community won’t like this, but I think Vision Pro will be a bust in the short term. Only develop for it for fun, not for a market. I’ll revisit it in 10 years when the tech catches up to the dream.

@stupendousman Yeah, and I think it will be way less successful than Apple Watch. People have been wearing watches for hundreds of years. People have been putting things to read in their pockets and bags forever too. I’m not convinced people really want something covering their face except very rarely.

This is a common and understandable POV re: Vision Pro. It's not a mass market device (yet) and likely won’t be for +5 years. But using a #Health #HealthTech #MentalHealth and #JTBD lens (my jam), it’s already an incredibly important device.

Crude #AR #VR #XR apps already exist for treatment & management of civilian #FirstResponder and military #MilVet #PTSD (at epidemic levels 15 yrs prior to #COVID19 pandemic)

@manton Whike I agree for now, Apple’s track record says by 10 years you’ll have been left far behind. OTOH any good idea can succeed no matter how late it is 🙂
