Wheel of Time season 2 had a few good moments, but overall it’s just too much to squeeze into 8 episodes. No time to develop the most important character because the writers can’t seem to decide who the show is about. Veering way off the books probably doesn’t help. 📺

This does not give me warm fuzzy feelings. WoT is too good a series to let the TV guys mess it up. 😢

Ryan Booker

I’ve not read the books, but it was much better than season 1 from my point of view.

Manton Reece

@ryanbooker Agreed, I do think it’s getting better.

@DazeEnd I’ve still only read the first couple books. It’s such a difficult task, though, taking 15 books and turning them into (presumably) way fewer seasons. I worry that ratings won’t be enough to sustain the show at a high level.

Manton Reece

@braker1nine Yep, that’s how I feel too. Geography and travel in the show is almost meaningless.

I fall into the ‘it’s much better than season 1’ camp. I initially abandon the show after a few episodes of season 1. But then I gave it another go and I’m glad I did. For what it is (an adaptation) it’s a decent series. I would recommend it to folks who are fans of high fantasy TV shows.

I’ve not read the books and was entirely lost through almost the entire season! Just finished it last night and still not sure what it’s actually supposed to be about. Would’ve given up but SO liked it, although they admitted they didn’t know what going on half the time either 😊

Wm Paul Slough

I have listened to the entire series on Audible, twice. Watched season 1 and was very disappointed. Will pass on season 2; would rather start on a third listen 😂.

@wps The consensus is that season 2 is better than season 1. I enjoyed a lot of it, but it just doesn’t quite fit together. Of course most adaptations usually fall short.
