We talk about domain names as your web identity, how it’s more permanent and meaningful when you’re microblogging on your own site instead of someone else’s domain. Some social network is down? Shrug. Your web site is down? That feels personal. We’ve had good uptime but it’s gotta be even better.

@vincent I imagine it’s the difference between renting and owning your house. We have never done the latter and my family never owned the home in which I grew up, however I feel like anything but a tenant whenever I interact with my websites.

@manton time for #IPFS to move away from that model? :)

(I’m half joking)

I feel what you are saying, . But Microblog’s uptime isn’t good lately. Almost every day I get the notifications that my site’s down. Yesterday between 9.30pm CET and 11.30pm CET it happened 5 times.

@holgerfrohloff I think I’ve fixed the issue that was causing that. Let us know if you see any other downtime this week. Thanks!
