Still votes to count in the Michigan primary, but seems like the protest vote against Biden will settle out around 15%. Which sounds significant except that the protest vote against Trump is 30%. 🇺🇸

“The group pushing for voters to choose “uncommitted” – called Listen to Michigan – set the goal of 10,000 uncommitted votes in the primary, roughly the same margin that Biden won Michigan by in 2020. “
Currently they’ve got 33,000 votes with 25% votes counted.

@Denny Sounds like they are making their point and with strong numbers.

@pratik Yeah, that was a quote from the Guardian. NPR reports: “The campaign’s goal was to get more than 10,000 votes, approximately the margin that former President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by in 2016”
I would point out that 33,000 votes is with 25% counted. Might be closer to 120,000 when the voting is completed.

@pratik Good commentary. Paints a fuller picture than what I was imagining. I have not kept up with the Michigan primary drama until just a few hours ago.

@pratik Yep. Only 4% counted in Wayne County, they’ve got 2,000 votes, 24%. That’s where Dearborn is and I think will be a higher percentage. I guess we’ll see what happens.
