The country has been very patient waiting on the Trump trials, and this latest delay with the Supreme Court makes it feel like we’ve been scammed. It has been three years! Guess there’s the NY case but it won’t carry the same weight. 🇺🇸
Cristof de Loet A disappointing choice by SCOTUS. I expected “worse” but any of the options other than Jack Smith’s request seem to end the same way: no completed trial before the general election.
Ryan Lounsbury @manton I agree but having SCOTUS hear the case will end this stupidity (hopefully). Given the ruling at the appellate level and SCOTUS already seemingly not backing the complete absolute immunity Trump is claiming... This should be a decisive end to Trump's hail mary of a get out of jail card.
It might even add the bonus of forcing Trump to be involved in a major trial in the peak of his presidential campaign.
