Misplaced my AirPods Pro, possibly in New Orleans. I’ve been using wired EarPods for a few days and… they’re fine! EarPods have always felt better in my ears, and they work 100% of the time when plugged it instead of 97% for Bluetooth.

I use EarPods during the week (because I can plug them in at work), and the quality difference compared to AirPods Pro does not match the £19 vs £229 price points!

My earpods went through a whole wash and dry cycle and they still work. And if they didn't I would only be out $20!

@manton if they didn’t make me break my phone (I think I broke 4 of the 6 screens before I got AirPods, haven’t broken one since) I could totally switch back.

Just ordered a pair of wired headphones again. I am done with the low-level anxiety of not being sure if my AirPods are connected/charged enough for the day.

It's an unpopular opinion, but not having to pair is a feature, not a flaw. Of course, for Dr Who fans, the name EarPods is ominous, since in The Rise of the Cybermen earpods were the means to enslave a population and convert them into mechanized people called Cybermen, stripping individuality, turning them into a military force to conquer other planets.

I have a knack for catching the headphone cable on things so they rip painfully out of my ears. Bluetooth headphones ushered in a more relaxing era of my life 😌 (Now to figure out door knobs catching in pockets 🤔)
