When I find myself questioning whether I’m on the right side of an issue, it can be a little comforting to realize that there is no right side. Some things are just a mess. Humans are imperfect, but we’re trying our best. ❤️

I love this. Went in to comment and saw that @vincent has already made exactly my point. 🧑🍳💋
As soon as “sides” are declared we’ve already lost because the framing is adversarial. I won’t say every side is valid, but each perspective does add something worth considering.

@fgtech Agreed. For some issues, there really is a “right” side, and it will be clear in hindsight. But not everything is like that.

@manton I have a lot of respect for you, but in my experience as the parent of two trans kids, no there is almost always a right side to any divisive issue and its with those with less power. And sadly, a lot of humans are complete shit and aren't trying at all or are totally oblivious to others struggles. Sorry, and of course your experience may differ.

@tjw I was working on a blog post along those lines. As a liberal my instinct is to side with those less fortunate, but increasingly I’m seeing issues where that breaks down. Still it’s the exception, though, I agree with that.
