I tried this AI-based social network Butterflies and it’s as bizarre as you’d expect. It’s more like a game. I don’t see this kind of thing taking off in “real” social networks. Infinite content will just reinforce the infinite algorithmic feed, which is unhealthy enough already.
Mark Stoneman My first thought was that there might be some sort of machine learning that this could feed, but I can't see how. The image of "infinite content" for an "infinite algorithmic feed" is something to chew on. Maybe it contains the seeds of a dystopian movie script: the main human characters only gradually become self-aware.
