I’d like GRRM to pick up the series again and actually finish the last book!

@peterw I’d be curious to know how (if?) GRRM will finish the books to match the plot-line of the show. It’s been a while since I’ve read them but I do remember them deviating quite a bit near the end of book 4 and 5.

@lmika @peterw I remember him saying that the ending will be different than the show because he hadn’t figured it all out yet. I think he blogged that some people who survived in the show will die in the books, and vice versa.

@lmika I recall he worked with the show runners to sketch out how he saw the series ending so the show stayed consistent with it but there were variations like you say, different deaths etc. I think we’ve broadly seen the conclusion but the book will offer greater depth and detail.

Yeah, I much prefer these new ones to the corporate abstract designs of the last 20 years or so.
