Are ChatGPT notifications actually a thing? I’ve never seen this before, so can’t tell if it’s a real or hallucinated feature.

That is freaky. I also haven't heard that this is a capability, and it would be weird not to announce it because it requires building a really, really different kind of system as a plug-in. My guess is hallucination?
@uberalex.bsky.social The memory is definitely real. I just wonder if it’ll do anything. 🙂
@tedunderwood.me Right, this is a pretty compelling (and complicated) feature if it’s real.

Unless something changed, this is a sham. It’s just talk, no notification is made.
Yes, the memory is definitely updated. But is there anything in that article about using the memory to initiate timed actions in the future? I don't see it, and it would be a big addition!
might be part of the apple - OpenAI deal with apple Intelligence?
@manton Not as far as I know, though this is one of the kinda-obvious features I'm looking forward to them adding. I'd like to be able to have ChatGPT follow up - for example in a coaching way, "Hey we said X amount of time ago you wanted to review how you were progressing towards these goals. What's gone well since then and what hasn’t?”
@apike That would be great. ChatGPT’s memories are a nice start to get some basics shared across sessions, but there is so much more that could be done.
