The iPhone Pro 16 Max is my first “huge” iPhone. So far I’m liking the size. It’s a little awkward but doesn’t feel too big. I wanted to try this size as a sort of very, very small iPad, for reading and (sometimes) actual work.

@manton i downsized for the first time since the 6. Am curious how it goes. For me, better eyesight after surgery relieved the major reason I had the larger phones. I am even dabbling with charging to 80% all of the time to see how it impacts battery life (I use a lot of MagSafe charging and lost 10% last year)

@manton the XS Max was my first one, and I’ve had nothing but the “max” versions since. Wouldn’t go back. Especially helpful for those of us is with, um, “mature” eyesight.

despite grumbling about the weight of the normal 15 pro, reframing it as a 'small ipad' makes total sense, and I love the idea of less devices. I've got an old 11 inch that this could potentially be a replacement for - curious to see how you get on!

I’m quite often out with just my phone. I need to be able to comfortably read documents etc for work. Also, the battery life is always better. Don’t see myself going back anytime soon. Been on the max for years now.

That’s a good idea. Do you think it holds up as a “mini iPad”.

When I switched from Max to non Max my whole phone experience was so much better I don’t if I could go back.

That being said, the weight of all these phones!!!

@arandomselection.com So far I'm really liking it as a phone + mini iPad. The size is a little awkward, so it's definitely not for everyone.
