Threads cross-posting is finally rolling out more broadly for Micro.blog folks. Sorry if I didn’t get to your request for the beta earlier. I’m catching up and replying to everyone who asked about it in email.

@arandomselection There’s no way right now because the cross-posting elsewhere is connected to the Micro.blog timeline. We would need to figure out how to untangle the pieces a little.

@pratik I am doing just that. Thank you!!
Fedica I didn’t know about. Will check it out!!

@brian_wolf Can you check Account → View logs and see if there’s an error message about Threads? Not aware of any problems at the moment.

@gregmorris No, the fediverse option. I joined Threads on release here, but can’t cross-post because of E.U. rules (yet anyway).

@pratik @arandomselection Ahh the internet. Full of undelivered promises of ease.

@BenSouthwood cross posting from Micro.blog uses the post API and is not reliant on further federating Threads content. What’s not on in the EU is the ability for someone on Mastodon (or micro.blog) to follow an @ threads.net account. But crossposting will totally work.

@jsonbecker @BenSouthwood I’m in the EU and I cross-post to Threads without a hitch. I’ve been doing it since hooked me up on September 22nd.

@jsonbecker I’ve tried and it’s crashing for me for some reason? I’ll try again.

@estebantxo I recall now it’s not fully rolled out yet, I don’t think. I’ve been away from here a while so I’ll sit tight and wait for it to work. :-)

@BenSouthwood that’s true, it’s not fully fledged. Replies from Threads don’t make their way back to micro.blog (that’s universal, not an EU thing). But sending the posts from micro to threads works.

@estebantxo Even the bits that work will make life easier for me.

ahh, so it was in beta, in this case, ignore my previous msg to you! 😂
