@theotherlinh @manton Agreed 100%. Americans have been letting it slide for decades. This attitude that a presidential election is the peak moment when we pay attention to the political process. Then we go vacation for 4 years. American citizens have largely given up on democracy because we don't want to be bothered. Democracy should be a part of daily life. We're not taking it seriously because we'd rather think about sports, sitcoms, buying the next thing.

We already know what kind of country we're living in. The open question is where we are taking it.
