Several people have already correctly guessed that Micro.one will be a ridiculously low $1/month. I hope this helps it reach more people. It will also be a perfect gift subscription to give to friends and family.

I can't wait to see this coming to life. I'm probably not in the demographic for this (I'm rather already invested in Micro.blog) 😅... I wish other people in my social network in real life would be more into writing and blogging, but sadly, I'm the lonely wolf here. 😔

one quick question: are you the one who create the background art and some other art pieces on micro.blog too? I love those!

@manton will I be able to use Micro.blog if I enjoy pineapple on pizza?

Love this! I could totally see myself going for this about a year ago when I was still kinda on the fence.
Sign up page does this on mobile safari. Was able to get it working by changing orientation.

@numericcitizen Nope, it’s art I licensed… I wanted to use my own art but knew that would just delay everything.

@manton oh nice! i'm excited for this. micro.blog's idea of hosting the posts on your site and crossposting them automatically interests me, but £5/mo seems a bit steep so looking forward to it!

Still, strong art direction. You should totally lean into that approach across the board. Even the proper Micro.blog logo could do with a sprucing up every now and then.

@jglypt Actually you're going to be disappointed if you're hoping for all the cross-posting features for less than the current price! I think $5 or £5 is still a very good price for everything Micro.blog can do. I'll be blogging more about the pricing.

$5 a month is an amazing value, and $10 for Premium is amazing too. Best $$ I spend every month.

@manton A nice option for gifting someone new to blogging -- I may even hold this place till I interest someone. Hope that's allowed. Signed up to be notified.

@amit Thanks! I'm still finalizing how gifting is going to work. I don't think there will be a way to reserve a spot other than registering with a placeholder username, though.

@manton That should be fine as long as we can change the email address later. I believe which is possible.

I've searched high and low, and frankly, $5/mth is crazy value for what I'm getting from micro.blog. The cross-posting feature alone saved me weeks of finnicking with make.com or zapier.
