Good morning! Still fiddling with Micro.one, improving things, and updating the FAQ here. In some ways this launch is unlike anything we’ve done before.

tbh, the bookshelves in Micro.one seems confusing. If a feature is available, it should be available in all formats. Else make make Bookshelves a plugin for all Micro.blog users and Epilogue as additional way to interact with its features.

excited to see how it goes. Just don't promise to publish a book about your experiences. :)

@manton Honestly, I'm having a hard time understanding what is the public for this new product. I don't have numbers or all the data you have, but I see a network of communication from multiple systems as Micro.blog strength, and that's where I would put all my energy.

FAQ says Custom themes are not supported but micro.one/about/pri... lists custom theme support

@vladcampos I'm definitely putting a lot of energy into that aspect of the platform. But also I think there's value in blogging + fediverse alone, for people who are feeling burned out on all the social networks.

Let me add my thanks to you for creating Micro.one. I am sure over the coming weeks you'll be able to iron out all the kinks now in the system. I created an account for myself, but at the moment I seem unable to post, so I am going to let it rest for a bit and come back later. And to those of you wondering who this product is for, IMHO it is for the mass of people out there who are a) non-coders/techies and non-content creators and b) people with limited income who otherwise would not have this kind of access to the web. The very idea that, for $12 a year ($10 with gift), you can get yourself on the web and avoid the toxicity of current social media is, to me, radical and revolutionary.

@apoorplayer Thank you! Let me know when you're ready to try again later and get posting to work. Not sure what the details are there but I'm sure we can solve it.

@manton.org Is Micro.one only for new users? I tried to sign up today after not being on Micro.blog for a year and it wouldn’t let me sign up?

@stackofbricks.bsky.social It's mostly designed for new users but if you don't have an active subscription, you should be able to sign in on the micro.one domain and can choose it from the Plans page. If not, let me know.

@stackofbricks.bsky.social I think I need to change a couple things. Try this link instead: micro.blog/account/p...
