Funny how “billionaire” is now effectively a synonym for “anyone rich”. It’s almost a cheat — like a shortcut to describe venture capital or any profit. Won’t anyone think of the poor millionaires who are unfairly grouped together with the super-rich? 🤪

Joe Steinbring :thisisfine:

@manton I tend to just go for "Oligarch"

James Manes

It is just the modern day equivalent to bourgeoisie.

Simon Woods

There I was, enjoying my little yacht and these mean internet people CANCELLED me :(

Mark Gardner

Won’t anyone think of the #rights of those who earned their #wealth honestly?

Oh wait, that idea is verboten in this Age of Envy.

Careful, indiscriminate accusations of “too big” and “too much” are never defined upward, only downward. That scythe, unchecked, will eventually swing low enough for you, @manton.

@larand It’s true. Unfortunately there’s not a precise word for someone whose wealth is (for example) $50 million. Although “rich” is still pretty good!

Tyler K. Nothing

The word that comes to mind most for me is obscene.

Dr. Adam Procter

I think the word you are looking for is Twat

Simon Woods
