A few people seem confused about why I might prefer a conversation to continue in email. It’s a better place to find common ground. Also helps avoid saying anything disparaging about someone in public. We have enough threads on social media that escalated to hurtful comments. I stand by this.

@manton Same here for the same reasons. Also, emails are like blogs regarding preserving information. The other day, a cousin found an email I sent him in the 90s when my son was born. He simply forwarded it to me, and it was so emotional to see that. What other modern communication platform survived this long and still works?

@manton Some people take very good care of their emails. Just like my cousin, my father has a long history of messages. He is constantly almost driving me crazy seeking help on how to export and save his emails when he moves from one client or platform to another.
