We’re a few days in to not having internet at the house, which means no YouTube TV, Max, Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+, FanDuel Sports, and Hulu. Our over-the-air antenna reception looks amazing, though. Sort of want to cancel everything and start over with local TV.

Used an antenna with an HDHomeRun and the Channels app for a few years and really liked it. Unfortunately, I'm next to a small mountain now and have a limited signal. Would go back to that if I could.

I watch digital antenna stuff at work all the time! Pretty wild how many channels you can get if you're in the right area.

@grubz Yeah, there are more channels than I remember from just a couple years ago.

I use a Tablo DVR with my antenna. The new four-tuner models are regularly on sale at Best Buy for as low as $109, no subscription fee for guide data either.

Tried it a few times. There’s plenty of ‘stuff’ to watch OTA, but between the very many, very bad ads and the convenience of streaming (I may be mildly OCD about complete episodes…) OTA rapidly loses its allure por moi

@manton I have been using OTA for 20 years and it is nice. You will just need a good DVR solution. I have been using TiVo for all of these years but will be trying out Plex this month.

Yes I haven't had Cable or YouTube TV or another streaming "live" TV service in years just an antenna and very happy with the quality. I do use streaming services Disney+, Netflix and Prime. But I actually find I watch Antenna TV more and more granted it is old reruns from MeTV, ClassicTV.

@jadespace ty for mentioning Tablo. I've always balked at the HD Homerun + Channels subscription, but for $100 will give wiring that up to my Channelmaster a shot
