I missed the memo for the outside space at this coffee shop… There are like 20 little kids and families running around here. Not a distraction, just makes me smile remembering how good life was with little kids. The bittersweet irony with parenting is not knowing until years later what you had.

to be honest it has its pros and cons. I smile when I see little kids playing but at the same moment I am happy that I am past this phase and don’t have to care about things I had to care about back then (mine are nearly 11 and 14)

Memories come flooding back with a grandchild. Mine is at that age where "why?" gets asked a lot.
