Playing with Kagi again. The first result on my blog when searching the web for just “manton” is this post I wrote back in 2013 about the multiplane camera and iOS 7. Miss the days when I wrote posts like that.

I knew there was a secret reason I liked you! I, too, am a fan of animation, and anyone writing a post about Ub Iwerks and multiplane camera technology is definitely a fellow animation nerd :)

@tylerknowsnothing Thanks! 🙂 Big animation fan here.

Can you clarify….. all you typed in the Kagi search field is “canton” and the first result is a blog post from 2013. I tried that same search in DuckDuckGo…. and there are no results for any of your blog? That seems weird.

Darren Robinette

@Robinette sorry… auto correct. “manton”

Manton Reece

@Robinette That is weird. I didn’t mean the first Kagi result was my blog, there were a few results first, but when I scrolled down to find myself, the first post was that 2023 post. Maybe it varies for different users.

Been using Kagi for about 5 months now. I don’t think I can go back to a regular search engine. Results are just that much better.

I am interested in how you progress with Kagi. I have been testing www.perplexity.ai for some research and project work. I like a few things it does, it feels a bit like a research helper.
