Dave Winer has written up two improvements Bluesky can make to RSS feeds: including images and including embedded posts instead of the “contains quote post” message. The images are especially important and make the feeds really impractical to use right now because the data is just missing.
Why would he open the issue on his own repo vs a blue sky repo?

@manton.org I think he uses that sort of as a supplement to his blog. But yeah, this should be tracked in a Bluesky repo too.

@manton.org Actually he did copy it to the Bluesky repo too: github.com/bluesky-soci…
Probably logged in the wrong repo as this is part of the “social-app”, not the atproto -> github.com/bluesky-soci…
We have to help people to keep their agency and rely less on hoping Bsky prioritizes some feature. Just build it!
This would be easy to build as an independent service that can make whatever RSS feed you want from an account. @ap.brid.gy could also implement this.
