Nailed it. I’m too amused by wall outlets and light switches gone wrong, it’s surprisingly common. This one in the hotel stairway.
Joseph Lamoree @manton I was in an airport a few years ago and spotted a receptacle in a nice area to sit and charge. Turns out it was just a sticker of a receptacle photo. Somebody is out there having played a hell of a prank.

Matt Huyck LOL. We have a couple of those. I am developing a kind of x-ray vision into walls as a result of remodeling our own house. I would bet that the bump in the wall is a duct that got added after the electrician roughed in the outlet, resulting in a problem the electrician was blamed for but couldn’t be expected to see.
